The Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) was held in September, centered around the theme "National Potential, Global Partnerships." The event brought together business leaders, government officials, and experts to discuss sustainable economic development and the expansion of international cooperation. Eastwind was represented by its Director, Boris Bubnov.
In an era of rapid technological progress, Turkmenistan is pursuing a policy of modernization. This effort is driven by a combination of rich natural resources and innovative technologies, as well as the integration of traditional industries with emerging sectors.
Particular focus is placed on digitalization and the development of communications infrastructure. The country is deploying 5G networks and implementing IT projects in the field of artificial intelligence. These initiatives are laying the foundation for growth in the telecommunications sector and creating new opportunities for international partners.
Our company was represented by Director Boris Bubnov, who held meetings with the Minister of Communications of Turkmenistan, the leadership of the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the national operator Altyn Asyr.
The discussions focused on the development of ongoing projects and new areas of cooperation. Special attention was given to joint initiatives aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of the country’s telecommunications sector.
Eastwind has long been an active participant in strengthening ties between Russia and Turkmenistan. In February 2025, during a meeting of the Russia–Turkmenistan Business Council (RTBC) under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Boris Bubnov was elected Deputy Chairman of the RTBC.
